ORYX GTL VACANCY - Process Coordinator

Process Coordinator
Body Responsibilities:

Coordinates the activities of the Production Sections, in accordance with directions from the Production Manager; ensures efficient and effective use of available resources, within applicable design parameters of the plant and in line with SHERQ guidelines, to meet departmental objectives.


Coordinates the activities of the Production Sections, in accordance with directions from the Production Manager;
Leads the Fire Team Leaders in case of emergency situations;
Coordinates activities between the two sections; interprets overall production performance, and initiates actions to optimise the process, through direct communication to all units;
Responds to production related incidents promptly; ensuring that the plant recovers to optimum production levels as soon as operationally possible;
Provides first line recovery production plans to all units;
Provides production status overviews to the Production Manager and the section Heads; ensures that he communicates with supervisors in-charge to remain fully aware of the overall status of the plant at all times;
Identifies means to minimise flare losses and to optimise the production process;
Ensures implementation of SHERQ guidelines; ensures that equipment inspections/maintenance are conducted according to agreed schedules and is aware of the safety status of all operating equipment;
Coordinates with suppliers for the timely supply of all feedstock and utilities supply;
Communicates with jetty operators and others as necessary, to ensure that the products are loaded according to agreed plans;
Assumes the role of emergency controller in case of emergency situations as well as coordinating production activities with the whole production team;
Prepares shift reports; ensuring that all events during his shift are recorded and his reliever is aware of the exact situation at the time he assumes responsibility;
Renders specialist support service to the production supervisors under normal, as well as abnormal operating conditions;
Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Education:

o Engineering Diploma or equivalent – essential

o Chemical Engineering Degree – preferred



· Experience:

· 8 – 10 years plant operation experience – Essential

· Minimum 3 years experience as a supervisor – Essential

· Minimum 5 years experience as Panel operator / Outside SPC – Essential

· Must have proven practical experience.

ORYX GTL VACANCY - Production Planner – (Gas Loop)

Production Planner – (Gas Loop)
Body Responsibilities:


Coordinate the planning process of the Production facility to ensure on spec product in time for shipment from the Oryx GTL Plant in Qatar. Assist with technical optimization, problem solving and managing of project implementation. Manage plant chemicals and other process materials. Manage all equipment and unit turnarounds. Execute GTL diesel and Naphtha ship loading.

Production/product planning and forecasting – by considering input from BU’s and export sales.
Assist and support the sales and forecasting process
Doing Production Scheduling
Management and optimisation of inventories in cooperation with other business functions and BU's in order to balance working capital vs. product availability
Identify internal and/or external best practice in production planning with regard to forecasting, planning, inventory management, including cost optimisation
Translation of the Production strategy into plans for execution
Ensure that Production plan is developed and effectively executed
Ensure effective co-ordination of the value chain activities
Prior to start-up business related planning, development and tracking
Plant monitoring and performance evaluation
Operations technical support and optimisation
Identify & exploit value adding opportunities through process and economic analysis
Interpretation of operational data & trends
Investigations and troubleshooting on incidents
Managing of small projects. Manage the MOC process from production side


Requirements:

Qualifications

§ Qualified Process Artisan (NQF Level 4) or Grade 12/N3 with Maths & Science (Must)

§ Relevant National Higher Diploma or degree (Wish)

Computer Skills especially in Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel)
SAP applications
Planning tools
Experience

Minimum of 6 years – Plant Operations.
Minimum of 3 years as Supervisor or acting supervisor experience in Petrochemical industry.
Minimum of 5 years Production Planning Experience in a Petrochemical Production Environment. Practical proven exposure in this field.
Knowledge of the GTL and/or Petrochemical environment (advantageous)

Body Responsibilities:

To lead and manage production shift in ORYX GTL plant ensuring supply of product and adherence to quality, safety and legal requirements through the efficient and effective use of resources.

Lead his respective production section in his shift, meet objective set coordination with the section head, provide guidance and support to all personnel.
Compile shift reports.
Report deviations to Production head.
Ensure efficient production tempo and quality at all times.
Provide instruction to operators in his section in coordination with Process coordinator.
Conduct inspections on all equipment.
Inspect areas for spillage and solve problems immediately.
Inspect equipment to prevent leakage and spillages.
Comply with all legal requirements.
Customer relationship.
Ensure all production facilities are functioning according to agreed plans with in design parameters
Report all defects / notifications.
Examine equipment and complete safety checklist.
Adhere to applicable safety and work standards.
Practice good housekeeping.
Report all unsafe conditions to head of production and safety.
Ensure effective coordination with maintenance activities and issuing work permit.
Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of plant operation.
Follow SHERQ system/procedure by all personnel in his section of responsibility.
Encourage personnel to improve production, invites ideas and recommends to production head to incorporate values adding into operating policies/procedures.
Plan and coordinate shut downs / Preventive maintenance jobs.

Requirements:

Degree in Chemical Engineering / NQF level 4.
Diploma in Chemical Technology or Graduate.
Technology: Wax Treatment Unit, Product workup Unit, Hydrogen Purification Unit, Intermediate tank,
Final Product Tanks, LPG Clean up Systems and Product shipment.

10 years overall or above but at least 3 years experience in Oil Refining environment.
Experience as a shift Supervisor position.
Fluent in English (Writing & speaking).
Good working relationship with maintenance department.
Computer MS office and SAP system.
Good interpersonal skills

Body Responsibilities:

Ensure efficient production tempo and quality at all times..
Report deviations to Production head.
Conduct inspections on all equipment.

Quickly make decisions if emergency comes in shift.
Run the plant at optimized condition in his shift.
Should be able to commission/decommission plant.


Requirements:

Degree in chemical engineering / NQF level 4.
Diploma in chemical technology or Graduate.
12 years overall or above but at least 3 years experience in Gas Circuit environment.
Experience as a shift Supervisor position.
Fluent in English (Writing & speaking).
Good working relationship with maintenance department.
Computer MS office and SAP system.
Good interpersonal skills
