As a Production Sharing Contractor for BPMIGAS, we operate many producing exploration blocks in Indonesia. To support our expanding operations in Indonesia, ConocoPhillips is looking foe talented Indonesian nationals to fill in the following position.

Senior Reservoir Engineer

The primary responsibilities of the positions include:

Continue to review and refine estimates of Original Hydrocarbon in Place utilizing latest available well data.
Participate in Multi-discipline team for well planning and design to support the approved Plan of Development.
Construct and Maintain Full Field and Sector Models based on fine scaled geological models.
Update reserves annually.
Required qualifications:

BSc Petroleum Engineer, MSc. is preferred.
7+ years related working experience.
Competency in reservoir simulation and other relevant software.
Desire ti develop and implement innovative ideas.

If you are interested in entering the oil and gas industry then you need to be sure you have got what it takes to apply for these positions. There are a few aspects that need to be taken into consideration when you are thinking about joining this oil and gas industry. If you have had little or no previous experience in oil and gas, then you will need to work at an entry level job and work up.

The easiest way to improve your chances are to work for an onshore oil rig company first or complete a Fire-fighter or basic offshore survival certificate. This training is not required but may increase your chances of getting the job you want in oil and gas industry. When you work at an onshore company you will be trained to use the equipment safely and learn how to oil rigs work.

Starting off at an entry-level job you can expect a salary of US 30,000 a year and upwards. This amount may vary depending on your contract with the Oil Company. Provided you are in good health, physically able and pass the required medical certificate you are an ideal candidate for the oil rig industry.
