Planning Engineer (Gas/Planning), minimum 8 overall experience

Other RequirementSupervises the production, ship planning and scheduling activities from within RasGas to the external customer by managing the homogeneous supply chain. This includes the identification, development and implementation of new planning and scheduling systems. Possession of an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification is essential. • This position requires a SPECIALISED engineer with experience in linear and non-linear, stochastic and deterministic modelling. • A thorough understanding of the concepts and principles of simulation, planning and scheduling and their application are a must. • At least eight years experience in the process engineering arena in an Oil Refining or Natural Gas Industry plant is required. • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Integrated business systems (e.g. SAP), Process Simulation software, linear programming software and Plant information systems (e.g. LIMS, RTIS). • Depending on the level of the incumbent in the Engineering Ladder a minimum of 4 to 14 years working in a world-class organisation committed to excellence in operational performance is considered essential. The position also requires at least 4 years experience within the process engineering environment of an LNG manufacturing facility. • A working knowledge of the economic and financial workings of the oil industry. • Highly developed influencing, negotiating and communications skills are a fundamental requirement and an ability to participate and lead teams of co-workers is a prerequisite for the post. • Good written and oral communication skills in English • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and supervises team. • Good adaptability to a multinational environment, with a wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
